Question 1

What is You-Animate?

Accepted Answer

You-Animate is an AI paper-craft video generator. You paste a narration script and it produces a finished vertical 9:16 explainer video in a handmade cardboard and torn-paper stop-motion style, with voiceover, shot planning, and burned-in captions done for you.

Question 2

How long does one video take?

Accepted Answer

About 10 minutes for a 45–60 second video — the full pipeline runs voiceover, shot planning, image generation, motion, and render for you. Kick it off, close the tab, and it’s ready when you come back.

Question 3

Do I need to write prompts?

Accepted Answer

No. You write a plain narration script. Shot planning, framing, and image prompts are handled for you.

Question 4

How is You-Animate different from HeyGen or Synthesia?

Accepted Answer

HeyGen and Synthesia produce talking-head avatar videos. You-Animate makes faceless, stylized paper-craft animation instead, so your feed doesn’t look like every other avatar video.

Question 5

How is it different from Runway, Pika, Luma, or Kling?

Accepted Answer

Those tools generate open-ended clips from prompts you have to engineer, and characters often change from shot to shot. You-Animate plans the shots for you and keeps the same characters, sets, and props across every scene, with no prompt writing.

Question 6

What do I get at the end?

Accepted Answer

A finished vertical 9:16 MP4 with voiceover and burned-in captions, ready to post to Instagram Reels, YouTube Shorts, or TikTok.

Question 7

How do credits work?

Accepted Answer

One credit makes one finished video. Plans start at $6 for 2 credits. Buy any plan to top up your balance — credits never expire, and a failed generation is refunded automatically.

Question 8

Can I change a video after it generates?

Accepted Answer

You can re-render it, and regenerate the voiceover or visuals by editing the script and running it again.
